Scott Tran
Hi, I’m Scott Tran, the founder and co-owner of WonderPlay and Coffee. I started WonderPlay as a parent who wanted a space where both kids and adults could feel at home—a place that sparks imagination, encourages play, and serves a great cup of coffee.
When I’m not at WonderPlay, you can usually find me spending time with my family, servicing real estate clients + projects, playing golf, or hooping.
Trina Mabborang
Hi friends! I'm Trina, co-founder, co-owner (and Art Director) of WonderPlay & Coffee in Avondale alongside my husband. We have a spunky three-year-old, Reyna, and a beloved furbaby, Jayden.
After spending a couple years as a work-from-home mom, I'm thrilled to embark on my next adventure as the director of Wonder Play’s Art Studio and special events. I can't wait to share my passion for art with our wonderful community!
My favorite things to do with Reyna are playing pretend ice cream shop, reading Bluey books, going to the park, and trying new restaurants together!

Meet Katie, our Lead Barista & Café Manager ☕️
She keeps the café running smoothly, dreams up our special drink menu, and even makes most of our signature syrups from scratch! When she’s not at WonderPlay, she’s creating beautiful cat art 🎨🐱

When she’s not making kiddos smile at WonderPlay, she’s a speech-language graduate student at DePaul University. In her free time, Tricia loves reading, photography, and getting creative with crafts 📚📸✨
Whitney
Meet Whitney, one of our counselors. Catch her during musical storytime with Trina- every last Monday of the month. Sing, dance, and be silly during this fun, engaging class! ✨

Get to know Jasz, one of our counselors and lead yoga teacher at WonderPlay 🧘♀️ Join her for Young Yogis every first two Wednesdays of the month, where she guides little ones to breathe, stretch, and play in a fun, calming environment!

Meet Angela, our counselor & Shift Supervisor 🦸♀️ You might catch her turning kiddos into super junior heroes or teaching big kids how to play Dungeons & Dragons. When she’s not being a superhero at WonderPlay, she loves bringing beloved characters to life through cosplaying!

At the center of it all is our daughter, Reyna—the true inspiration behind WonderPlay and Coffee. As parents, we saw the need for a space where kids could play freely, parents could unwind, and creativity could flourish. This isn’t just a business to us—it’s a reflection of our journey as a family, built with love for our community. We can’t wait to welcome you in!
